Why create a website about Visual Rhetoric?
I feel that as the world becomes smaller and more accessible by means of the Internet and technology, the need for direction with regard to communication increases. We live in a time of great transition where authentic communication is key to understanding the meaning of what we see and hear. Visual literacy is necessary to wade through the jungle of our multi-media world.

Understanding visual rhetoric and communication is the key to successful navigation in all aspects of our busy lives.

Who am I?
I’m a writer and an artist, a mother, a sister, and a student of life.
My interests revolve around communication in all of its forms, including visual (information design, photography, painting, crafts, graphic design), written (professional, short stories, blogging), and most recently, social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter,
and InstaGram).

 

Summary of Qualifications:
9 years of document analysis, document design, business writing, proposal planning, and coordination
10 years of supervisory experience, including training new hires, interviewing, and development
12 years of proofreading and editing, page layout, copy writing, and graphic conceptualization
20 years of Microsoft Office and Adobe software experience for communication and design
30 years of work experience ~ verbal/written communication, customer service, organization
